Ministry Zone is the term HarborPointe uses for its organizational structure. All the ministries of HarborPointe fall within one (or more) of 8 zones (Vision, Community, Spiritual Growth, Next Generation, Creative, Stewardship, Building & Grounds, and Missions). Each zone has its own coach who provides hands on direction to the zone. Each zone also has an advocate on the Leadership Team who serves as a conduit of information between the Leadership Team and the particular zone.

Missions
plans to take a holistic approach to missions
so we will focus on helping people take advantage
of their daily opportunities to model Christianity
and help the people around them become
more familiar with Jesus. Short term missions
opportunities with Orphan
Helpers or other
local organizations will be scheduled to help
people grow in this area. We encourage the
HarborPointe community to be tuned in to God’s
prompting for “missions” activities in their
daily lives. |

We
believe the children of HarborPointe have been placed in our ministry
by the hand of God. The Children's Ministry takes seriously the
opportunity God has given us to impact their lives for Jesus. Aswe
teach children the following biblical truths, we will love each child
unconditionally just as Christloves
each one of us. We believe it is important for children to love God.
We teach them to live lives that are pleasing to God. We desire for
the children to love Jesus, their Savior. The Scriptures lovingly
describe how parents would bring their children to Jesus for Him to
bless and how Jesus said we must become like little children if we
are to enter the kingdom of heaven (Matthew 18:3). It is a privilege
for us to share with children that Jesus is the Son of God and the
biblical stories of Moses, Daniel, and many others. We also want them
to love the Bible. Children learn that the Bible is the Living Word
of God, the absolute truth and the standard by which they should
live.

All church work days are held every 5th Saturday throughout the year. There is also an ongoing need for minor repairs, parking lot and yard clean-up and maintenance. There's a great team in place but more hands are always appreciated! Contact Rodney Moore if you can help in any way! |

Advocate: Eric Grayson, Treasurer
This Zone oversees the material / financial resources of HarborPointe. Essential to this ministry is a Treasurer who pays the bills, records all transactions, and keeps the Leadership Team and congregation informed about the financial status of HarborPointe. A Financial Secretary is responsible for accounting for all money given to HarborPointe and keeps all donors informed about their contributions. The Financial Secretary oversees the work of Tellers (those who are responsible for counting and recording weekly offerings).

God's people have always gathered to pray. From leisurely strolls in the Garden to David's illustrious song-writing career to Jesus's desperate moments with his Father before his arrest, God's people have lived on intimate conversation with our God. Because of the rhythm and harmony that music provides, it is a great way for us to pray together. That's what our songs are - they are prayers set to music. And each Sunday, as we sing, we are engaging in intimate conversation with our God. It's fun to make music, it's great to hit the right notes, and it's helpful when there are no technical glitches. But more than any of that, we are praying. At HarborPointe, our Creative ministry is growing. More musicians are stepping forward willing to give sacrificially of their time and talent to serve the church and worship God. It's an exciting time to be a part of this little church with big potential in Hampton. |

The Spiritual Growth Zone is concerned with the overall spiritual health of the HarborPointe Community. This zone exists to support and encourage the leaders of the Refuge Groups, encourage the HarborPointe community to be involved in a Refuge Group, and provide other opportunities for Spiritual Growth such as teaching times and retreats. |

At the beginning of his ministry, Jesus and his disciples crashed a wedding party to eat and drink and have fun together in order to celebrate life...to create community. And at the Last Supper Jesus gathered his disciples once again to share and cry and pray and eat together in order to prepare for death... to enter even deeper into community. Eating together and drinking together and sharing together and praying together is at the heart of Jesus’ ministry and ours at HarborPointe as well. At HarborPointe we call all food and fun and fellowship-type activities part of our Community Zone. Included is our Sunday morning breakfast bar and Sunday afternoon potlucks, Easter and Harvest breakfasts and SuperBowl parties and Christmas dinners. We genuinely want to experience Jesus’ abundant lifestyle and to invite outsiders to come in from the cold and enjoy his kind of party. |

The vision of HarborPointe is be a “refuge of hope"- a safe place for people to find enough help to become wounded healers. We believe this vision must be safeguarded or potentially lose out to the pressure of merely maintaining an organizational structure. The Scriptures warn us that “Where there is no vision, the people perish.” We believe that vision starts with the pastor and pastoral staff and then the leadership team until it extends throughout the church body. The Vision Zone has a primary concern for the growth and development of leaders who breathe the air of Jesus and touch others with his healing hands.
