The Leadership Team serves as the Board of Directors of HarborPointe and shall be responsible for ministry direction, pastoral accountability, and business management. They shall oversee church discipline, the call and dismissal of pastoral staff members, and provide direct control of church ministry budgets/expenditures. In the event of a vacancy of any office, the Leadership Team shall appoint a successor to fill the remainder of the term of office. They shall dismiss any officer upon sufficient evidence of neglect of office and/or failure to meet the qualifications of an officer.

A member of the Leadership Team shall be an active participant in the Servant Community (fulfilling all the expectations). A member of the Leadership Team shall exhibit recognizable maturity in character, doctrine, and ministry skill. He or she will have special gifting in influencing others toward maturity in Christ and in commitment to the mission of HarborPointe. This person must have the ability to understand a broad range of concerns in order to make wise ministry decisions. |

A member of the Leadership Team should have previous positive experience in a variety of leadership positions, both within and outside the church. He or she should have a good working knowledge of scriptural and leadership principles and should be growing in both areas. He or she should be recognized by love and service as a leader of HarborPointe. He or she must successfully complete a period of 3 months as a Leader in Training (LIT). |

The primary duty is to help establish vision and oversee spiritual growth of the HarborPointe Community. This will include the following:
- Assist the Lead Pastor in providing vision for ministry. Helping determine where God is taking HP. Reviewing policy decisions as needed.
- Affirm and assist in the appointment of new leaders / worker / servant community members. Provide encouragement and support and appropriate accountability for leaders, especially those on the Ministry Team.
- Attend monthly LT meetings, currently the second Tuesday of the month at 4:30 pm.
- Follow through on ministry assignments. Rapid response to emails / phone calls.
- Oversee one ministry zone. At a minimum this will require contacting the ministry leader each month to find out about prayer needs and special concerns, approving budgeted expenditure requests, and reporting to Leadership Team at monthly meetings.
- Assist the pastor as the host of worship services and other all church gatherings. Meet and greet new people. Provide prayer support and pastoral care when needed.
